This is such a fun & cool idea! I think it'd be super interesting to expand beyond the makers of AI towards those who also write meaningfully about AI. There are so many future-looking journalists impacting the development of AI and they definitely need to be on this. The idea that people have to pay to get on a list of godfathers just shows that this is a plain scam. First it does not take $50,005,000 to run a website for a few decades, that‘s way to much money. Second of all, let me clarify, you are not a AI Godfather if you have to pay to be on a list. The real list of „Godfathers“ is arXiv, compared to yours it is - And I quote from their website - ‚strictly for research and education, not profit‘.
