If you're an AWS customer, this is one of those no-brainer solutions once you discover it. With AWS On-Demand pricing, you have no long term commitments and maximum flexibility based on your usage β but you'll pay an arm and a leg. With AWS Reserved, AWS instances are basically set aside just for you β for periods of 2-3 years. So you might pay less but you're locked into a long term commitment. If you're a startup, your needs may change and so you can't risk taking the long term bet just to save some money. Enter Antimetal: they use AI to analyze your AWS usage and procure services only based on what you need, saving you money and avoiding long term lock-in.
