Fontima delivers fine-grained CSS for Google Fonts subsets. It optimizes that CSS on the fly producing the best possible results to get: the characters you need; from the families you want; only when required. And it does it with just a few clicks.
I always keep the fonts local, but I love the idea, especially for people that do not have the ability to keep it local and want speed @leodeslf 👌🏻

What about downloading the fonts to use them locally? Do you plan to implement it? Does it make sense? I always download fonts and host them myself in web projects.

Fontima sounds super nice for frontend peeps. Making Google Fonts loading smoother? Sign me up! By the way, a tutorial video would be dope to see it in action. Just saying!
