As the year is coming to a wrap, I wanted to put together something fun, so I delved into the world of generative AI! I thought it would be cool to see if we could change the context of a photo without fully transforming the subject along the way, sort of like a greenscreen...but with any photo in your library and without having to deal with image editing software. So that's the tl;dr; behind Green Screen AI. It's a toy app that uses the power of generative AI to change the background of any image! Be it your cat or dog pics, or a pic of you & your friends, you can now finally get rid of that annoying person or object in the background and replace it fully with an alien beach or a mystical jungle. A challenge came about simply writing a prompt. Prompt-block is real, especially for a person with little exposure to generative AI. To address this, I decided to put together a simple text-completion component with the goal that even if you spam-click through it, you will end up an effective prompt. Hopefully, at the very least, it is educational around how to compose prompts :) Happy to hear any feedback and suggestions! If you end up making some cool pics, drop em in the discord I spun up. My goal is to capture some of the cool creations this outputs on instagram. Hope you all like it! Happy New Years 🎉
