Meet inlineGPT - the any where AI-copilot. how it works: – write & highlight your prompt in any text field – hit ⌘ + Shift + 1 – AI output gets instantly pasted in works in email, figma, slack, notion - you name it. retains styles, too.
I've been craving this exact functionality! Thank you for bringing it to life!

Nice, this definitely stream line things quite a bit! I think your thoughts around allowing model switching and key remapping are natural next steps. Thinking about my own use case, I can also use a pop-up dialogue that allows me to maybe regenerate or ask it to refine, etc. Would also be cool to see a history of my prompts (and maybe where they came from? Or other context, like file names in Figma and stuff like that). Very cool that you built this with Sonnet 3.5 though - Anthropic really killed it this time. Good stuff @_midwit and yes, we need more cats.

I love how it retains styles, showing the small attention the details that users really appreciate. Congrats🙌🏻

Awesome concept! In the FAQ I see it states it uses OpenAI GPT 3.5 turbo. Do you plan on supporting other models?

Congratulations on the launch! The concept of an AI copilot integrated into various apps is impressive. Is there a plan to expand compatibility to Windows and Linux platforms in the future?

Congrats on launching inlineGPT! The idea of highlighting text, hitting ⌘ + Shift + 1, and getting instant AI help is awesome. It's great that it works everywhere and keeps the original styles.

@_midwit simple and cool idea! I feel you can get a bit more attention from potential users if you post vid right on the PH launch page. I didn't understand what exactly the product does until I found a video on the website (not clear enough from copy) Also, I feel there are so many cool use cases for the app, like generating copy for demos in product/Figma. Wish you all the luck!

I can sense it's a good product but there is no demo this could be so much better with a demo video.

This is really smart! Quick feedback on your post, took me a few seconds to locate the video to see how it works. I think you can attach it to the post right?
