I anticipate that Apple is going to be pushing some new pricing models and ideas at WWDC this year that emphasize perennial subscriptions over one-time fees. Or that professional (Pro) apps will have the multi-hundred dollar pricing levels, whereas iPad prosumer apps will be sold a monthly subscription basis. This is why the launch of <a href="https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/05/apple-brings-final-cut-pro-and-logic-pro-to-ipad/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro on the iPad</a> was significant... not just because these products now require M* chips, but because of the new pricing scheme they imply. Pixelmator and VSCO seem to support this direction.
