There have been many contenders, but ProShots does one thing and does it well — it generates svelte PFPs suitable for use on a number of platforms. Check it out — I used ProShots to produce my current avatar! <img src="https://i.imgur.com/EcLJPEq.jpg" style="max-width: 100%"> I also discovered that you can generate still images from a video file of yourself to create enough varied images to make the process smoother — and got an assist from <a href="https://www.producthunt.com/posts/chatgpt" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ChatGPT</a>! <img src="https://i.imgur.com/xk98Umr.png" style="max-width: 100%"> Just run this command in terminal in the same folder as your .mp4 file (presuming you have FFMPEG installed): <b>ffmpeg -i input_video.mp4 -vf "select='mod(n,1500)', fps=1/10" out%d.jpg</b> You can tweak '1500' to a number that will produce more or less frames. I ended up with a folder like this: <img src="https://i.imgur.com/9fsiU34.png" style="max-width: 100%"> You'll still want to upload some variations of yourself, but this was a fast way to generate selfie variations.
