Harness the magic of AI built directly into your inbox with Smart Summaries. Summaries save you precious time by using AI to intelligently capture the main points of an email in just a few sentences.
Free user (will be transitioning to paid) here, Shortwave is amazing. Been struggling with email organization for a while now and shortwave just hit all the right baby steps for me, especially all the features in pinned!! I'm excited to try out Smart Summaries and it's great that privacy was covered in the comments to seal the deal. Great job team, looking forward to your next feature.

Well done! I will give it a try! 🚀 Especially the multilingual part is gonna be a big saver for me, since I am working with 3-4 different languages and I have a lot of time to invest all those emails.

This is neat. Did you try using summarization on bundles? A core workflow of mine is clearing out what I don't care about in a bundle. Im not sure exactly how it would work, but helping speed up bundle processing might be a win alongside speeding up individual email processing.

Hi, (newly) paying user of Shortwave here, and I've been both a big fan and big critic of your product for a while now. Thanks for making it not wavy and getting the keyboard shortcuts up to par. Inbox was the best email app ever made and I appreciate your reviving it from the dead. I think what sealed my $ to you is your cofounder's focus on privacy in our private email exchange. My web inspect skills aren't what they were in the 10's unfortunately. So...who's doing the AI summarization? I can't find the external resources linked from `<a href="https://api.shortwave.com/api/ai/stream/summarizeThread" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://api.shortwave.com/api/ai...</a>` Nothing in your public content around this feature speak to your providing a third party service with training data from our private emails. While it's loosely covered in section 3 of your Privacy Policy, it has much larger implications that waving hands around doesn't solve. As we've seen with Bing and its leaking of customer data, you're giving potentially very sensitive information to a third party AI. Before I make further assumptions, can you please explain how this is working and what measures you have in place?
