I'm thinking the real and substantive advance will come when someone invents a way to divert the pure clean drinking water that goes down the drain waiting for your shower to reach desired temperature. Either divert to storage for other in home or garden use or better still use your hydro energy from one shower to heat the next showers' water quicker at the shower head to shorten the wait for your water heaters supply to come through.
